What happens when creative minds get together to combine their talents?
Well now there is The Bowman’s Inn Anthology
Six authors have combined their talent to bring you a collection of tales with romance, mystery and maybe a little humor. The delightful short stories feature characters who own or operate the facilities of the Bowman’s Inn or are just passing through. Whatever the case, Cupid has a way to help each of them find what their hearts require. Mark your calendars. The Spring edition of the Bowman’s Inn Anthology is available on Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Spring-Bowmans-Inn-Book-1-ebook/dp/B00WBZSN0G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1431909410&sr=8-1&keywords=bowman%27s+inn
In the city of Anteros, you might find yourself at the Bowman’s Inn. You could be lonely, hurting, or lost more than you know. The bartender, Valentine Archer, will know just what you need. He not only looks like a Greek god, he used to be one. Cupid prefers to be called Val these days. But he still knows how to mend a broken heart.

Here’s a little about my story, Steamy Connections:
After an accident leaves Erin with an embarrassing facial scar, her boyfriend dumps her, turning her world upside down.
Eliminating the unattractive mark would mean removing the constant reminder of her accident and the rejection and humiliation which followed. Plastic surgery is not cheap. Desperate to regain her self-esteem, she takes a job as a Phone Sex Operator to supplement her small savings.
Things move beyond steamy as she grows close to a repeat caller with a sexy voice. Given the chance to test what’s real, Erin must decide if she can lower her defenses enough to let him see all of her perfect imperfections.
Can the mysterious Valentine help her decide whether to take a chance on happiness?
Here is an excerpt from Steamy Connections:
Adam was one of her favorite callers and the two of them had developed a routine. He liked when she participated, and with him, only with him, she actually did participate.
After turning on the phone’s speaker function, she sat on her bed with her legs crossed. “How was your day?”
“It was good. Nothing exciting. What about you?” Her pulse quickened at the sound of his voice. She wanted to keep him talking, craved the feeling of being swathed in the rich reverberation from his lips to her ears.
“Nothing exciting here, either.” She kept her voice calm, a contradiction to the tension building within her.
“Well, then, I guess it’s a good thing I called. Seems we could both use some excitement.” That did it. She was officially turned on.
“Do you want me naked?” She teased, knowing he always wanted her naked.
“You know I do. What are you taking off first?”
“Well I actually just got out of the shower so I only need to drop my towel.” She continued in a smoky, playful voice. “Oops. Looks like I’ve come undone.”
“I’ve described myself to you a hundred times. You could draw a picture of me and it’d be accurate.”
“Humor me.” The smile in his voice warmed her.
“Five-Five, red hair, grey eyes, boobs slightly larger than average.” Adam was the only caller to whom she’d given an accurate description. With him she could be herself. “Now you.”
“You sure you wanna hear it again?”
“I’m six feet with a somewhat muscular build. I have dark hair, hazel eyes and a little bit of facial hair. Nothing to write home about.”
She closed her eyes, allowed an image to form in her head, and smiled. “Are you stroking yourself while you’re talking to me?”
“Always. Talking to you turns me on. I’m already hard.”
Erin giggled. “What would you do if we were together right now?”

So happy for you my friend. A big congrats. We shall meet for coffee and celebrate or just do 90 minutes of yoga 🙂
Aww. Thank you. Indeed we shall! (104)
Can’t wait to add this to my library! Love the snippit of your story 🙂 Lovely blog by the way!!!
Thanks so much, KJ.
Wonderful! Congratulations! Did you give credit to the pictures that you used on this blog and in your book?
Thank you. The picture of the silhouette couple is the actual book cover. The others are random photos from the internet that I use for inspiration – something to visualize while I’m describing my characters. They won’t be used in the actual book.
This is so neat! How did it come about?
Thanks. The writing? I’ve been entertaining thoughts of writing for years. I have a number of unpublished stories. The anthology? I belong to an online writing group (Scribophile.com) and one of the other members invited me to write with her and some other talented writers. My first response was, “who me?”. This particular story? I have about a dozen story ideas right now, and they all come to me out of the blue – from everyday experiences. I got this idea while answering a phone call at work. The entire story unraveled in my head from beginning to end!
